The Wi-Fi Alliance and the Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, have successfully completed a seven-month pilot project testing 6 GHz Wi-Fi technology in healthcare at the Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute. The trial, which integrated advanced Wi-Fi into medical education, demonstrated improved network capacity and support for high-speed streaming, AR/VR applications, and data-intensive tasks. The project highlights the benefits of unlocking the full 6 GHz spectrum, fostering innovation in healthcare, telemedicine, and medical research. It also emphasizes the importance of regulatory access to the 6 GHz band to drive technological advancements and improve healthcare delivery in Thailand.
