The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has released a document proposing rule changes for the 24.25–27.5 GHz band based on decisions made at the 2019 World Radiocommunication Conference. The proposed changes aim to align part 30 of the FCC's rules with Resolution 750 limits on unwanted emissions in the 23.6–24.0 GHz band, protecting passive sensors used for weather forecasting and scientific research.
The FCC encourages comments on the proposed rules and alternative suggestions, with a deadline for comments on February 28, 2024, and reply comments by March 14, 2024.
