The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China released new Radio Management Regulations for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Equipment in the 900MHz band, effective from November 1, 2024. These regulations aim to enhance the management of RFID technology, optimize spectrum usage, and maintain airspace order. They apply to the development, production, import, sale, and use of RFID equipment in the 920-925MHz frequency range. Requirements include compliance with technical standards, obtaining approval from the national radio regulatory agency, and managing equipment installation to prevent interference with other radio stations. Additionally, the regulations discontinue model approval for RFID equipment in the 840-845MHz band. The previous regulations for the 800/900MHz band will be abolished simultaneously.
