The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) announced on June 1, 2024, that the class assignment for Fixed-Satellite Service Earth Stations and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Communication Devices operating in the 3400-3700 MHz frequency band will be cancelled effective June 1, 2025. This means that from June 1, 2025 onwards, these devices and equipment will no longer be permitted to apply for approval or operate in Malaysia under this frequency band. The decision was made under regulation 28 of the Communications and Multimedia (Spectrum) Regulations 2000.
