ISED has released RSS-248 Issue 3, titled "Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) Devices Operating in the 5925-7125 MHz Band," which establishes certification requirements for licence-exempt RLAN devices in this frequency range. This new version replaces the previous Issue 2 from December 20, 2022.
Key updates include:
Introduction of a new equipment class: very low-power devices.
Added definitions, power limits, and operational requirements for this new class.
Various editorial changes and clarifications.
