On November 30, 2023, Infocommunications Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore announced updated technical specifications for short-range radio communication devices, effective from September 2023.
Key changes involve the maximum field strengths for specific frequency ranges:
13.553-13.567 MHz: Shifted from 94 dBμV/m at 10m to a maximum RF output power of 10 mW (e.r.p.).
40.66-40.7 MHz: Revised from 65 dBμV/m at 10m to a maximum RF output power of 10 mW (e.r.p.).
180.00-200.00 MHz: Specifications changed from 112 dBuV/m at 10m to a maximum RF output power range of 10mW to 50mW (e.r.p.).
These modifications are aimed at improving the efficiency and performance of short-range communication devices in accordance with updated technical standards.
