ACMA (Australia) Launches Consultation on Radio Local Area Networks and Wireless Broadband in Upper 6 GHz Band

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has initiated a public consultation on June 4, 2024, regarding the potential introduction of Radio Local Area Networks (RLANs) and/or Wide-Area Wireless Broadband (WA WBB) in the upper 6 GHz frequency band (6425–7125 MHz). This consultation, accessible until July 2, 2024, seeks input on planning options for these services, considering international developments and the spectrum's potential use.
